John Bola Okerinde is a trained Couple and Family Counsellor and a Chaplain who has successfully helped many individuals build on their own strength to form healthy romantic relationships that has enabled them to experience happy homes and marriages. Hugely passionate about family wellbeing and the impact of happy homes on society, his breadth of knowledge and desire to exceed expectations is at the forefront of his approach to providing superior relationship services to individuals and couples. A counsellor at heart, John is in constant search of new opportunities to help individuals and couples solve their relationship issues by providing tools and confidential environment to share their challenges and equipping them with tools for resolving their challenges amicably. He is the Founder and President of The Barnabas Mission (thebarnabasmission.org), a Christian charity motivated by Christian compassion to enable families function according to God’s original intent and design through couples and family counselling. The Barnabas Mission currently has over forty volunteer counsellors and partners providing counselling services to the public in many counselling centres. He is a Pastoral care member of the Association of Christians in Counselling UK and the Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON). Under John’s leadership, The Barnabas Mission (TBM) has grown from one location to several locations with many full-time and volunteer counsellors. He actively seeks opportunities to expand TBM capabilities, allowing TBM to provide a more holistic service to our clients. He had served in various leadership roles in his local Church as Pioneer and Pastor of a Baptist Church, as a church Secretary/Administrator and Counseling Team Lead in a Baptist Church, as President of the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship International (FGBMFI) chapters in the nineties. He is currently serving with The Barnabas Mission as a Couple and Family Counselor. He is also in private practice as a Couple and Family Counselor at Blissfulmates. John Bola Okerinde is an ordained minister of the Gospel, a trained Couple and Family Counselor (Institute of Counselling Glasgow, UK) and a trained Chaplain (Scottish Baptist College, Paisly, UK). He is a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator for comprehensive relationship assessment. He is married to Olaide Kofoworola Okerinde, his wife of over 30 years.
Throughout a career as an Information Technology expert and a Certified Project Management Professional of over three (3) decades mostly in Oil and Gas industry in Nigeria, Europe and United Kingdom, John has never been satisfied with the status quo but actively seeks opportunity to positively impact the society. He is the CEO of Bartercrats.com, an online marketplace for Bartering and a Principal Partner with Blissfulmates, a relationship counselling service provider.
